Most of these programs are FREE and hosted at the My People Senior Activity Center in Sevierville.
Everyone is welcome to join our programs! These programs can be adjusted for all fitness levels.

Cardio Drumming is a research-based program that combines fitness, drumming, music, and educational concepts to improve the physical, emotional, and social health of participants.
We offer this program at the My People Senior Activity Center on Wednesdays at 10 am.

Are you looking for a walking group?
You are welcome to join the Sevier County Trailblazers during September and October.
We will meet at various locations, and our goal is to walk the length of Tennessee from west to east (432 miles) by the end of October.
If you want to join the movement, contact the FCS Agent at 865-453-3695 or email her at kadkin17@utk.edu.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is an evidenced-based progressive strength training program for older adults.
This is an 8-weekly (16-session) program that provides safe, structured, and effective exercises to improve strength, balance, and flexibility.

Get Fit With Geri-Fit!
This evidence-based program provides strength training workouts for older adults & beginners.
Session topics include:
- Increase Muscular Strength
- Improve Balance & Coordination
- Boost Motor Skills & Reaction Time
- Enhance Flexibility & Gait
- Lesson Arthritic Conditions
- Manage Chronic Conditions
The next Geri-Fit program will be on Thursdays from 9 am to 10 am at the Seymour First Baptist Church.
This is a FREE program.
Please bring a set of 2 or 3-pound dumbbells, a stretch band or towel, and water to drink.

Come walk for a purpose at various locations throughout the year with the Sevier County Health Department.
Your footsteps at these walks are in support of different causes.
Resources will be available there for you to help spread awareness for each cause.
