Most of these programs are FREE and hosted at the My People Senior Activity Center in Sevierville.
Everyone is welcome to join our programs! These programs can be adjusted for all fitness levels.

Join our Walk Across Tennessee Walking Group, called the Sevier County Trailblazers. We offer an 8-week program designed to help you stay active, improve your health, and have fun with friends. Whether you’re walking for fitness, stress relief, or social connection, this program is for YOU!
🌟 What is Walk Across Tennessee?
- Perfect for all fitness levels—walk at your own pace!
- A team-based walking challenge where participants work together to log miles
- The goal: Walk the equivalent of the distance across Tennessee—500 miles per team
✅ How It Works:
- Come to at least one of the weekly walks to be considered as a team member for that season.
- Track your miles each week and report your number to the team leader.
- Enjoy weekly tips on nutrition, fitness, and motivation.

Geri-Fit® is an evidence-based, senior-focused strength training program designed to help older adults improve muscle strength, balance, flexibility, and overall mobility. This safe, structured, and highly effective class uses light dumbbells and seated or standing exercises to support healthy aging and greater independence.
Participants progress at their own pace as a certified instructor leads them through guided strength movements, posture support, and functional fitness skills. Geri-Fit® has been shown to help reduce the risk of falls, increase stability, and enhance everyday confidence — all while offering a welcoming and encouraging environment.
Whether you are looking to regain strength, stay active, or simply move more with others, Geri-Fit® is a wonderful way to support long-term wellness and maintain your quality of life.

The next Geri-Fit program will be on Thursdays from 9 am to 10 am at the Seymour First Baptist Church.
This is a FREE program.
Please bring a set of 2 or 3-pound dumbbells, a stretch band or towel, and water to drink.
