4-H Grill Master Challenge

4-H Gill Master Challenge is open to youth in 6th to 12th grades. In this club, youth will learn about grilling and food safety, how to build a fire, meat selection, and cooking skills. Youth will prepare and cook cuts of beef, pork, poultry, and lamb to prepare for the Eastern Region 4-H Grill Master Challenge that will be held at the Blount County Extension Office on September 17, 2025.

Please note that if school is canceled due to inclement weather, any 4-H event, club meeting, or workshop scheduled for that day is also canceled.

Grades: 6th-12th

Location: Sevier County Extension Office

Practice Dates: Tuesdays, August 6 -September 10

Region Contest Date: September 17th

Additional Information: A team is comprised of youth, each cooking different meat (beef, pork, poultry, or lamb). Learn to grill on a charcoal grill and use those skills to compete in a regional competition on Tuesday, September 17!
