TNCEP Programs

We help people make healthy food choices, manage their weight, preserve food, and handle food safely. UT Extension’s Department of Family and Consumer Sciences delivers research-based education across Tennessee to help families choose and prepare foods that lead to healthy eating patterns.

Tennessee  Nutrition and Consumer Education Program (TNCEP) provides nutrition education to families and individuals receiving food assistance.  Programs are provided through 4 interactive sessions.  Participants learn how to choose healthy foods, prepare meals, and save money. Recipes and hands-on cooking workshops, plus food samples are often included in presentations.  Completion certificates are also presented to graduates of the series.

If you would like more information about TNCEP for yourself or your organization, please contact Meg Curtis at mcurtis@utk.edu or 865-453-3695.
