There are many camps and conferences that 4-H Members can attend. Below is information on camps and conferences held at the county, region, and state levels. This page is regularly updated so make sure to check back frequently for upcoming events!
Please note that if school is canceled due to inclement weather, any 4-H event, club meeting, or workshop scheduled for that day is also canceled.
Summer Camp Scholarships
2023 Summer Camp Scholarships will be available for pick up March 6-10, 2023 at the Sevier County Extension Office. Scholarships can be used for any overnight camp (Jr 4-H Camp, Jr High Camp, Target Smart Camp, Creative Arts, and Design Camp, Electric Camp, etc.)! Scholarship applications MUST be returned by March 10 at 5 pm. Scholarships are available to everyone and are based on financial need. Scholarship recipients will be notified by March 31, 2023. For the summer of 2022, Sevier County 4-H gave out over $8,000 in scholarships to over 140 4-hers. We hope to top this in 2023! This was only possible because of the support from our community members and sponsors. Donations are used to reduce the cost of camps for our 4-Hers. Interested in donating to our overnight camps? Seveier County 4-H Summer Camps:
Below are the summer camps that will be offered by Sevier County 4-H this summer!
Junior 4-H Camp will be held at the Clyde Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville, TN! Youth who have completed 4th, 5th, and 6th grades have an incredible opportunity to participate in Junior 4-H Camp. Campers have the opportunity to go swimming, creek stomping, ride the zip line, participate in archery, shoot rifles, make crafts, play gau-gau, make new friends, see old friends, and simply have the time of their lives! Campers arrive on Monday morning and return home on Friday. Campers are supervised by 4-H agents and trained adult and teen volunteers during their stay.

Cost: $315 (Transportation is provided for campers to and from camp)
You must pay a deposit of $157.50 when registering for camp to reserve your spot. Full payments can also be made at registration. Balances are due by May 3rd. Spaces are limited and on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will open at 8 am on April 5th. No registrations will be accepted online or in the office before this date.

Come fishing for a good time at our Fishing Day Camp! Campers can catch a fish while being taught casting skills by the best of the best! Campers will take tips and tricks home that will last a lifetime.
June 26th 9 am – 3 pm
Location: Sevier County Extension Office Campers will be transported to the fishing location but drop off and pick up will occur at the Extension Office.
Grades: 4-8th
Cost: $15 Lunch will be provided!

This camp’s registration link is housed under Hamblen County’s Ag Store Front.
This is 4-H Survivor Junior High Camp, an exciting camp experience for campers who have completed 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. All campers are placed into one of four tribes, Onvee, Bula Bula, Gaholi, or Rumbra. Throughout the week, campers will complete in Tribal Challenges and earn points for their team. The week kicks off with the Amazing Race, a thrilling challenge where tribes compete in different events and race from one end of the camp to the other.
Cost: $360 (Transportation is provided for campers to and from camp)

Capture picture-perfect photography skills at Photography Day Camp!
July 11th 9 am – 12 pm
Location: Honeysuckle Hills (934 Mill Creek Rd, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863)
Grades: 4-8th

Come learn how to grill! We will be learning about grilling and cooking techniques. We will cover dry rubs, marinades, and simple seasoning. There will be learning, games, fire, and meat. We will learn about cooking beef, pork, poultry, and lamb. No supplies or experience is needed, just bring an empty stomach and a positive attitude.
August 2nd 9 am – 1 pm (A second camp will be added on August 3rd if camp fills)

Outside Events and Workshops for the Sevier County 4-H Golden Eagle Award:

A county-wide 4-H Officer Training Workshop will be held on November 1st at Sevierville Intermediate School. All officers
are encouraged to attend to learn more about their job as an officer! Tuna drop-off is from 4:30-5 pm. Check-in for
all other officers begins at 5 pm and workshops will begin at 5:15 pm. A parent meeting will also be held at 5:15 pm. Please contact amccarter@utk.edu with any questions!
Join us on November 14th for the 2022 Gingerbread House Workshop at Walters State in Sevierville. Each participant will be provided a kit to build their own gingerbread house. The cost is $30 plus anything you would like to use as decorations for your house (M&M’s, Skittles, red hots, peppermints, malted cereals, Chex Mix, etc.). You may register with the newsletter your child received at their club meeting or use the registration button below. Sevier County 4-H staff will host a speech workshop to help you prepare for the county contest on November 17th from 5:00-6:00 pm. The workshops will be held at the Sevier County Extension Office. An RSVP is required to attend. Please RSVP using the registration button below. Contact Ms. Ashley with any questions at 865-453-3695 or by emailing amccarter@utk.edu.
A county speech contest will be held for those who would like to compete with other 4-H members from across the county. Competition is by grade level. Ribbons will be presented to each participant. The top three speakers at each grade level will receive a prize. A $25.00 check and certificate for $100 off a trip to the 2023 Junior 4-H Camp (4th-6th grade), 2023 Junior High Camp (7th-8th grade), or 4-H Round Up (9th-12th graders) goes to the first-place speaker for each respective grade. County winners will also be invited to represent Sevier County in Regional Speaking Events.
If you plan to speak, please pre-register by calling 453-3695, extension 107, or emailing amccarter@utk.edu before December 5 at noon. When pre-registering, we need your full name, grade, 4-H teacher’s name, school, and parent email. You may also register using the button below.
The county contest for all grade levels will be Tuesday, December 6, starting at 6:30 p.m., at the Sevier County Courthouse. Please report to the Courthouse by 6:10 p.m. to check in. Room locations will be posted at the Courthouse doors. Remember you must pre-register for the speech contest!
A Christmas Craft Workshop will be offered on December 13, from 4:30-5:30 pm at the Sevier County Extension Office. The cost is $15. All materials will be provided! Spend your time with your 4-H friends making festive Christmas crafts for this holiday season! 4-H Records Workshops have been planned to assist you in completing your project books. All workshops will be held at the 4-H Office (752 Old Knoxville Highway), adjacent to the Sevier County Fairgrounds. Bring your project folder to the workshop. 4th graders should bring the Exploring 4-H Book. The workshop will qualify as a county event for the Golden Eagle Award. No other 4-H records workshops will be scheduled and you must register no later than one week out from the workshop! Let us know which workshop you will attend by registering using the newsletter you 4-Her received at their November meeting and returning it to Sevier County 4-H, 752 Old Knoxville Highway, Sevierville, TN 37862 or you may also register online using the button below.
This workshop will help prepare you for the photography contest that will be held in club meetings in March. At this workshop, 4-H members will learn photography tips to enhance their skills. There is no cost for this workshop but space is limited. The workshop will be held February 7, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the 4-H Office located at 752 Old Knoxville Highway. Campers will spend the day exploring different animal species and industries. This camp will allow them to participate in various learning activities and hands-on experiences. They are advised to wear closed-toed shoes. Get “moooving” and sign up today! The camp will be from 9 am – 3 pm on February 20th at the Sevier County Extension Office and is open to 4th-8th graders. Spend your afternoon learning about baking cornbread from staff from the Old Mill! We will spend the afternoon baking and making homemade butter to enjoy! The cost for this workshop is $10 and space is limited. The workshop will be held on March 7, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the 4-H Office at 752 Old Knoxville Highway. We are excited to be working with Cruze Farms in Sevierville for a 4-H fundraiser on March 9th! Funds raised will go towards camp
scholarships and 4-H programs (shootings sports, judging teams, etc.). All you have to do is mention 4-H when you get ice cream at Cruze Farm in Sevierville on March 9 from 5 – 9 pm. This counts as an outside event for the Golden Eagle Award! All you have to do is come by and buy ice cream and then stop by the 4-H table to sign in to get credit.
