> TNCEP (Tennessee Nutrition & Consumer Education Program)
Contact: Linda Hyder
Tennessee Nutrition and Consumer Education Program (TNCEP) is for Tennessee families who receive Food Stamps or who are eligible for Food Stamps. The goal of TNCEP is to teach families how to choose and prepare nutritionally adequate diets.

Education is delivered by county Extension faculty and partners in the community who work with the Food Stamp audience and Title One Schools. Meg Curtis, TNCEP Program Educator, presents monthly nutrition programs to Kindergarten and 3rd grade classes in Sevier County. A community coalition of Sevier County individuals meet monthly to plan TNCEP events in the community, and assist in determining related county needs. Funding for TNCEP is provided by USDA & The Tennessee Department of Human Services.

Any interested person may join the Sevier County TNCEP Coalition. Contact Linda Hyder, 453-3695 for more information.
